- Griha Pravesh is the traditional ceremony of entering a new home for the first time, performed at a muhurat and usually including a Vastu Shanti puja. A housewarming may be that, or it may be an informal gathering after you have already moved in. Both use the same invitation — the difference is whether a muhurat and puja timing appear on it.
- Can we mention that it is a no-gifts occasion?
- Yes. A short line on the invitation handles this more gracefully than telling people individually.
- Can we include what guests should expect — a meal, snacks, timings?
- Yes, and it is worth doing. Guests plan differently for a full lunch than for evening snacks.
