- Can the invitation show both the muhurat and the arrival time?
- Yes, and it should. The muhurat is when the ceremony begins; guests often need to arrive earlier. Stating both separately avoids people arriving mid-ritual.
- What is this ceremony called in different regions?
- Upanayanam is the Sanskrit term used widely in the south. Munji is common in Maharashtra, Janeu across much of the north. The invitation uses your family's term.
- Can we list the ceremonies across more than one day?
- Yes. Where the ceremony is preceded or followed by related rituals on other days, each gets its own timing and venue on the invitation.
- Can it be in Sanskrit or our regional language?
- Yes. Shlokas and ceremony names can be set in Devanagari or your regional script, alongside English.
